3 months!

Dear Bryan is adapting to the first week of full day infantcare. This is him a day into his 3rd month, with mummy burping him after a feed. His neck grew stronger over night.

Kicking in the water!

Its nearing the end of another big phase of baby-hood for the 3 of us - the end of maternity. Ade goes back to work next week, and Bryan will have to be left in the wonderful care of the teachers at My First School. I know its a heartache, all of a sudden mummy doesn't get to bathe Bryan everyday, mummy doesn't get to constantly keep watchful eyes on her son's ultimately important well-being, oh how i see it in Ade's face these few days, that sense of being proud of seeing ourselves through to this point, mixed with the thoughts of sweet longing for Bryan next week back at work.

The both of us are so thankful that Bryan is adapting really well to infantcare, so far we have spent 2 half days with him there as a sort of orientation. He looks really relaxed, hardly fusses, enjoys being with people. Being the youngest there, he gets a fair amount of attention. His neck is also getting a fair bit stronger. Sometimes he utters imcomprehensible phrases, mixed with equally unfathomable expressions. Oftentimes these little speeches break into chuckles. Teacher Yati says that he is a jolly baby, we thank God that our happy personalities rub off on the little dude. Recently, Bryan has started sleeping through the night, which is really timely since it allows us to get back into work routine.

Today, after spending half a day with Bryan at infantcare, we went to Harborfront and got him a nice little stroller, which we immediately used to wheel him around. It was our first shopping trip with Bryan. Now I feel like a little primary school kid being excited over writing about "My first Excursion with my family". We wheeled Bryan all over harborfront and Vivocity and he switched between being sound asleep and being completely curious about the many bright lights and people activity around. Finally we ended up at this swimming place on the 3rd storey of harborfront, where they put infants and toddlers on mini head floats and nurtured their instinct for swimming, just like it was in mummy's womb. Bryan got in the swim tub and became really excited in it, doing 8-10 complete revolutions around, kicking constantly for 15 min, it was so funny to see it happening. Check out the video below for a preview of the aspiring infant olympian. To complete the outing, we headed to Marche for dinner, and felt so happy that we finally managed to bring him out to enjoy a meal with us. Today was a really happy and memorable day.
